When ever you make a new post on a wordpress blog you have the opportunity to notify search engines automatically. People with websites can use pinging software and do some work manually.
It is important to have the right sites in the proper place.
To make sure you are doing all you should copy the list below and paste it into your wordpress dashboard in the proper place.
You will find the right place by going to the Writing tab under Settings. Towards the bottom of the page you will see a box that will most likely have pingomatic in it. Just delete that and paste this list in and you will be likely to get indexed faster by Google and other search engines.

I will write it in steps to find the place to put this.
1. In your WordPress back office you need to go to the settings tab on the left hand side.
2. Then go to the Writing option under the Settings.
3. The last option on that page will be “Update Services”
4. Copy and Paste this ping list into that section.

I’m using the free version of WordPress, which must be why I’m not seeing the page you describe. When I go to the Writing section of the Settings tab there is no “Update Services” box or prompt.

I don’t know what the back office of the wordpress looks like.
Wordpress is free in general but the difference is being self hosted or you have the wordpress blog with your username on it.
If you are looking to market online then you need to self host your site as you will have more power to do what you need to do for SEO and other things.
A cheap and reliable hosting company that I use is http://www.jojodomains.com
I have used them for years and they are great.

This will help to some extent in telling the search engines that there is new information for them to index.
Another thing you should do is use http://www.pingfarm dot com when you have a page with a link to your site on it.
To really rank in the search engines you will want to make sure your off-page SEO is strong.

You are absolutely right about mentioning the Off-page SEO. I am writing here about one of my backlink technique. I have created a blog at an EDU site and my blog post is going public from that edu site with my site’s link, but the problem is that, when I am checking with a backlink checker, the backlink from that EDU site is not showing, but my other back links are showing all right. Can you guess what might be wrong with my backlinking? I would appreciate very much for your valuable comment on this.

What are you using to check for the backlink? The software that is out there will not check all the backlinks.
I recently got the newest version of Traffic Travis and it has a really nice backlink profile that you can do on any website.
